Therapeutic Approach

We are always in the process of becoming.

- Carl Rogers

Meaningful change happens in a safe, collaborative environment. I strive to meet you where you are, honoring your strengths, challenges, and unique life circumstances. Together, we will build practical, effective skills while also creating space for self-compassion and personal growth.

Different styles of therapy

I draw from a variety of approaches in my work, based on what I’ve studied and found effective, including…

  • CBT focuses on how our thoughts can impact our emotions and behavior.

  • DBT is a specialized version of CBT that utilized skills and activities to build mastery in mindfulness, emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and interpersonal effectiveness.

  • Mindfulness is a practice where one focuses on the present, staying open, nonjudgment, and curiosity.

  • Existential Therapy focuses on free will, self determination, and our meaning in life.

  • Systemic therapy focuses on the different relationship systems that shape a person’s experience, including family, friendships, work, and community.

  • Attachment theory explores how our early relationships shape the way we experience connection, safety, and trust today.
